5.2. Dolphins

The animal in this photo is a dolphin. The adults have 20- 50 teeth in a jaw. They can swim very fast. It is the most intelligent species in the world. The origin of the dolphins are in Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania.

Dolphins usually eat fish, prawns, crabs and octopuses. They live in lakes, rivers, on the  seas and measure between 2 - 9 meters long. Females have one cub in the year.

They are an extinguishing species but they are not danger. Pollution is a problem for them, especially oil. Humans hunt dolphins.
